We are hiring a total of 5 drivers for our summer operations. We have start dates in Late April, Mid-May and Mid-June.

We have Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler based positions. Vehicle provided for a Whistler-based driver on five day a week schedule, same for a Vancouver based driver.

Canadian Outback first established its rafting operation in the beautiful Squamish Valley of British Columbia in 1995 on the Elaho, Squamish and Cheakamus Rivers. We are looking for active individuals to join our team as class 2 or 4 bus drivers. Pay is competitive and we provide staff and friends and family rafting as well as all sorts of extra curricular activities throughout the summer. There are opportunities for both full and part-time roles.

As an active member of the British Columbia River Outfitters Association (BCROA), and of tourism associations in Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and the Yukon, Canadian Outback has established itself as a trusted name in adventure tourism in Western Canada.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Transportation of clients to / from Whistler to CORC Squamish base
2. River shuttles for all rafting itineraries
3. Vehicle maintenance (pre-trip inspections, fluid top ups, cleaning)
4. Assist in equipment preparation
5. Key member in emergency response procedures and protocols
6. Adventure photography
7. Assist base staff when necessary
8. Perform other duties as they are assigned
9. Provide a superior level of customer service

Requirements:

1. Detail oriented and excellent work ethic
2. Ability to work independently and assume responsibility
3. Photography skills
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Class 2 or 4 driver’s license (CORC can assist in achieving license)
6. Must have an outgoing and confident personality

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $25.00-$30 per hour plus tips

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week- Preference given to full-time applicants.
