WSP is currently seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer-in-Training to join our Mechanical Buildings group, located at our Edmonton office. What you can expect to do here:
- Design of HVAC systems;
- Design of plumbing and fire-protection systems;
- Analysis of the building's heating, ventilation, and cooling loads;
- Perform engineering calculations;
- Primarily in an office environment, with some field work during initial site investigation and follow-up with contractor installation.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution;
- Excellent marks in relevant senior engineering courses; particularly fluid mechanics, heat transfer & thermodynamics.
- A proficiency in written and verbal English communication is essential.
- An aptitude for clearly and concisely documenting design decisions and calculations for review by senior engineers.
- Motivated to undertake any challenge.
- Commitment to continuous technical learning and personal development.
- Registered or ability to register as an Engineer-in-Training with APEGA.
