My client, a leading consumer goods company in the beauty and personal care industry, is looking for a Brand Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for developing innovative products and driving brand growth. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to strategic initiatives that shape the future of a diverse product portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Brand Director or Vice President of Marketing, the Brand Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute bold, market-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Development & Marketing (40%)

  1. Champion the brand’s vision, ensuring consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
  2. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns that drive consumer engagement and demand.
  3. Create high-quality marketing materials and toolkits aligned with brand positioning.
  4. Manage the brand’s visual assets, including imagery, graphics, and videos.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to implement innovative promotional strategies.
  6. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform brand strategy.
  7. Work with the creative team to execute integrated marketing communications.
  8. Partner with the sales team to design and analyze trade marketing programs, including promotions and in-store displays.

Business Management & Analytics (40%)

  1. Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to guide decision-making.
  2. Provide regular updates on brand and market performance using key data sources (AC Nielsen, POS, IRI, consumer insights).
  3. Assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and identify opportunities for optimization.
  4. Monitor category trends and industry shifts to enhance brand positioning.

New Product Development (10%)

  1. Contribute to ideation and execution of new product innovations from concept to launch.
  2. Work with product development, regulatory, and sales teams to align offerings with market trends and consumer needs.
  3. Oversee packaging, artwork, and regulatory approvals in collaboration with designers and key stakeholders.
  4. Conduct post-launch analysis to track performance and optimize future initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Special Projects (10%)

  1. Prepare and present key insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  2. Support sales teams with marketing materials, mock-ups, and presentations.
  3. Work closely with departments such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and Graphics to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics; MBA preferred.
  2. Minimum 3+ years of experience in brand management within the CPG, beauty, or personal care industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of category trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
  4. Experience in natural, wellness, and conventional beauty products is a plus.
  5. Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills.
  6. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive results and overcome challenges.
  7. Understanding of retail and shopper dynamics in Canada and the US.
  8. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  9. Ability to work in a hybrid office environment (minimum 3 days per week in-office).
