My client, a leading consumer goods company in the beauty and personal care industry, is looking for a Brand Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for developing innovative products and driving brand growth. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to strategic initiatives that shape the future of a diverse product portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Brand Director or Vice President of Marketing, the Brand Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute bold, market-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Development & Marketing (40%)
- Champion the brand’s vision, ensuring consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns that drive consumer engagement and demand.
- Create high-quality marketing materials and toolkits aligned with brand positioning.
- Manage the brand’s visual assets, including imagery, graphics, and videos.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to implement innovative promotional strategies.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform brand strategy.
- Work with the creative team to execute integrated marketing communications.
- Partner with the sales team to design and analyze trade marketing programs, including promotions and in-store displays.
Business Management & Analytics (40%)
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to guide decision-making.
- Provide regular updates on brand and market performance using key data sources (AC Nielsen, POS, IRI, consumer insights).
- Assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor category trends and industry shifts to enhance brand positioning.
New Product Development (10%)
- Contribute to ideation and execution of new product innovations from concept to launch.
- Work with product development, regulatory, and sales teams to align offerings with market trends and consumer needs.
- Oversee packaging, artwork, and regulatory approvals in collaboration with designers and key stakeholders.
- Conduct post-launch analysis to track performance and optimize future initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Special Projects (10%)
- Prepare and present key insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support sales teams with marketing materials, mock-ups, and presentations.
- Work closely with departments such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and Graphics to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in brand management within the CPG, beauty, or personal care industry.
- Strong knowledge of category trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
- Experience in natural, wellness, and conventional beauty products is a plus.
- Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive results and overcome challenges.
- Understanding of retail and shopper dynamics in Canada and the US.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment (minimum 3 days per week in-office).
