Reporting to the Sr. Director, the Brand Environment Specialist manages the implementation of window, in-store, and Brand Environment activities in alignment with Global and Local Brand Environment strategy to achieve a premium brand experience in retail stores.
Note this role is required to visit stores 2-3 days per week, the corporate office located in Markham, ON one day per week, with the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week.
About the Job
- With HQ Brand Environment Team, plan and discuss annual Brand Environment priorities and financial investment levels.
- Work in collaboration to implement Brand Environment activities in alignment with the Global / Local Environment strategy, up to specified quality standards and across the relevant retail (mainline + outlet).
- Manage the production, logistics, and implementation process of required Brand Environment tools that fall out of central production scope; following brand guidelines / seasonal direction and validating with HQ Brand Environment partners before execution (through print management and/or local suppliers).
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing to implement different marketing activation programs as well as with the Store Implementation Teams to maintain and upgrade the store environments.
- Ensure store staff are equipped with brand, product, and visual merchandising know-how to build brand loyalty, inspire consumers, and create sell-out.
- Manage local Brand Environment budget.
- Responsible for all new store openings and refit projects, working closely with the District Manager and HQ team to be on time according to the planned timeline. Manage the project budgets within the given plans and ensure all openings are according to the Global standards.
- Attend weekly business reviews and provide insights and feedback from a BX point-of-view. Partner with cluster BX team to provide solutions to market business needs and challenges.
- Maintain consistent check-in meetings as part of dotted line reporting to Retail Director.
- Hold open office hours for district managers and store leaders to provide support on BX strategies for stores. Review store submitted photos and provide coaching and feedback on execution.
- Attend monthly calls with Cluster BX teams to review and understand monthly floorset, providing hindsight feedback on prior floorset direction.
About You
- Completion of post-graduate studies in a similar field.
- 2-5 years previous visual merchandising experience at a market or corporate level.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to write easily understood directives and email communications.
- Ability to informally lead, influence, and motivate retail teams.
- Understanding of visual merchandising techniques.
- Working knowledge of Adobe suite, Excel, and Word processing software.
- Ability to travel to stores and markets across Canada and spend 2-3 days in stores per week. 1 mandatory office day in Markham ON office.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, through sometimes ambiguous direction to develop strategies and gain approval through various work streams.
- Ability to manage several projects at once.
