Brain Injury Case Manager

Position: Brain Injury Case Manager

Location: Penticton, BC
Salary: $30 per hour
Hours: 4 days per week (28 hours)

About SOSBIS:

The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS) has provided essential support to individuals with acquired brain injuries and their families since 1991. They aim to help survivors build independence while navigating the challenges of brain injury.

Under the direction of the Team Lead and reporting to the Executive Director, the Case Manager will be responsible for determining the needs and priorities of new referrals by:

1. Completing Intake Assessment
2. Developing Individual Services Plans
3. Providing Case Management
4. Implementing behavioural and psychosocial interventions to individuals and families experiencing an acquired brain injury.

Qualifications: Degree in Psychology or Social Work, Community Rehab Degree, or Nursing Degree. Knowledge of case management models for providing services to individuals with acquired brain injury would be an asset. Minimum 2 years previous experience.

Other requirements:

• Class 5 Drivers License with reliable transportation as driving is required
• Clean criminal record check
• Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills
• Competence and sensitivity while working with our clients and community stakeholders
