Routes Connecting Communities is currently seeking passionate members of our community like you to join our Board of Directors. As a member of the Routes Board of Directors, you play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction for our organization. The support of volunteers serving as board directors is invaluable in supporting our mission.
At Routes we provide social connection, support services and transportation for people in York Region. Our services help people to lead fulfilling lives, and maintain their well-being and independence. By removing barriers and fostering meaningful connections, we enable people to thrive, participate fully, and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive community where everyone feels valued and supported. At Routes, we are more than just a service—we are a vital link to independence and belonging.
Volunteer Board Members meet virtually approximately 10 times per calendar year. Meetings typically take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month, and normally last for approximately two hours. Board members also volunteer to sit on at least one standing committee in support of our organization. We are asking for a minimum commitment of two years.
We encourage interested individuals to email a letter of interest, including a resume to boarddirector@routescc.org so that we can connect you with our Board Chair to discuss your interest.
