The Nominating Committee of the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council (ESCC) is seeking candidates interested in joining its Board of Directors. Serving on the ESCC Board of Directors is an opportunity to become further involved in the broad issues of the entire seniors’ sector and to contribute to making Edmonton an age-friendly city.
As a member of the Board of Directors for the ESCC, you would be a part of the governance team responsible for providing strategic leadership through directing, influencing, and monitoring the organization’s business based on its bylaws, policies, and strategic plan. Collectively the directors are accountable to the members, stakeholders, and the broader community. A board member may serve a maximum of two 3-year terms and may serve on one or more of their committees.
We invite interested candidates to please submit a CV and cover letter explaining how you would like to contribute to ESCC's mission to info@seniorscouncil.net. We are particularly seeking candidates with a financial background preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
Our Nominating Committee will contact interested individuals to arrange an interview. We look forward to hearing from you. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Wendy King, Chair or Sheila Hallett, Executive Director at 780-423-5635.
