The Oncology Bioinformatics team in the Computational Biology and Translation Pillar of gRED Computational Sciences (gCS) is seeking a highly motivated data scientist to support extraction, interpretation, analysis, and workflow implementation of -omics datasets.
Job Requirements:
Advanced Python Programming: Proficient in Python programming, particularly within Linux-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
Expertise in Workflow Language: Strong knowledge of workflow languages such as WDL, Nextflow, and/or Snakemake for automating and managing computational workflows.
Version Control with Git: Experienced in tracking and managing code using Git for version control.
Extensive Experience in Data Analysis: Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
Proficiency in X-Omics Technologies: Familiarity with x-omics technologies and their applications in data analysis.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Data Sciences, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Must Have skills:
