* You will be working on a flexible hybrid/remote schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

What We Do

The Bilingual Translator ensures the quality of translated material by verifying spelling, punctuation, formatting, use of language and grammar are correct and consistent. In addition, ensures materials adhere to applicable compliance and regulatory guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Translate/proofread French copy of various confidential documents and ensure it matches the English version in terms of meaning, effectiveness, clarity and consistency
  • Ensure the French copy reflects proper grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation
  • Ensure all legal and compliance annotations are correctly interpreted and addressed
  • Track any changes and use comparison/merge functionality in Microsoft Word

What We are Looking For

  • 3+ years of proofreading/translation experience
  • University degree in French studies, translation, journalism, publishing or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual in French and English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to accurately review complex materials with exceptional attention to details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and in AP and/or Chicago Manual of Style and standard proofreading marks
  • Strong project management skills and process driven
  • Strong time management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines
  • Excellent eye for design consistency
  • Good understanding of the investment industry
