Bilingual Quality Assurance Engineer (Software) – French & English

We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual Quality Assurance Engineer (Software) to work on leading-edge technology products.

Location: Montreal, Quebec
Schedule: HYBRID (2 days in office)


Project Description
As part of the project team working on innovative solutions, he/she will be responsible for providing independent assurance that internal and external requirements (including governmental, industrial, and contractual) applicable to development are met. In this role, he/she will also be responsible for "Quality and Customer Satisfaction" activities, in addition to these main responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the technical manager and the project manager to meet the expected schedule and level of quality
  • Write/Maintain the Quality Assurance plan and review documentation related to software, hardware and system planning
  • Verify that the plans meet the objectives of the RTCA DO-178C aeronautical standards and that they are properly applied
  • Advise the project team on the application of aeronautical standards
  • Conduct reviews (sample assessment of requirements compliance and testing with development plans), inspections and assessments to establish and document that deliverables, documentation and processes comply with specified requirements
  • Identify quality issues and communicate them to the Quality team and the project management team
  • Ensure the follow-up of corrective and preventive actions
  • Participate in "Stages of Involvement (SOI)" audits of the Aviation Certification Authorities (FAA / EASA)
  • Coordinate the review of deliverables with the Client
  • Support and promote the objectives, principles and actions necessary for quality to be part of the corporate culture

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a college diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in development and/or quality in engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, complex electronic product development, quality assurance/compliance, or processes.
  • Experience or knowledge of aerospace engineering and development standards (particularly DO-254 compliance).
  • Bilingual – French and English
