Payroll Administrator - Temporary

Note: This is a hybrid role, 4 days in office in North York.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, we are looking to add a new team member to be part of our growing organization. Our Payroll team processes and services over 5000 Health Care Professionals across Canada. You will be working closely with the internal Human Resources and Finance Team and providing service excellence for all Employees. Key skills set that we’re looking for includes integrity, time management, and attention to details, which is an integral part to the success of this role.

Payroll Administration

  • Attention to details and timely processing of Semi-Monthly Payroll covering across multiple jurisdictions with varying payroll complexities.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner while delivering high level of quality customer service.
  • Process Payroll Adjustments and other Payments for existing Employees, New Hires, Leaves and Terminations with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible and changing team environment that fosters positive results.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the Payroll Profession Career Path.

Qualifications

  • One year of hands-on experience processing payroll.
  • Bilingual (French/English), spoken and written.
  • Experience with ADP Work Force Now would be an asset.
  • Experience using MS Excel in an intermediate capacity (formulas, filter, sort, formatting, vlookup).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in auditing payroll.
  • Enrolled with National Payroll Institute and pursuing PCP designation would be an asset.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Completion, or in progress of a post-secondary program in payroll administration, business administration, or accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of Federal and Provincial Legislation relating to Payroll and Employment Standards.
  • Ability to exercise a high level of discretion with confidential information.
  • Ability to liaise and build trust and collaborate with internal team members.
