About the role

The Practice Area Consultant (PAC) delivers demonstrations of our core products to clients and supports sales with knowledge of the lawyer workflow across multiple areas of practice.

Responsibilities:

  1. Using Consultative Sales to increase active users and win preference with law firms and law schools.
  2. Communicating credibly with law firms and schools to understand their challenges and improve business in innovative ways.
  3. Listening to law firm customers and responding with product solutions and research paths to improve their work-life balance.
  4. Developing strategic account plans, recognizing sales opportunities, targeting specific sales activities, and analyzing competitor threats.
  5. Partnering with law firm client managers to overcome customer challenges and position them to close significant opportunities.
  6. Delivering specialized customer presentations that communicate our value proposition and competitor differentiators to create new active users.
  7. Executing marketing strategies aimed at positioning LexisNexis as the higher-caliber source in meeting the needs of partners.
  8. Targeting, hiring, and managing hourly student workers to assist in the accomplishment of goals at law schools.

Requirements:

  1. Have a Juris Doctorate.
  2. Bilingual French/English.
  3. Demonstrate deep Product, Content, and Practice Area knowledge and act as an internal resource for Sales, Marketing, and Segment.
  4. Be able to work solo and own and manage a territory.
  5. Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and technical knowledge.
  6. Be able to work as part of a team, accomplishing mutual team goals.
  7. Demonstrate experience developing and executing on account plans and coordinating key stakeholders to positively impact clients.
  8. Have excellent proven sales experience.
  9. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
