They are seeking a Bender to join their growing and dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock such as channel, I beam and structural steel as specified
Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
Bend materials according to instructions or blueprints as required
Ensure stocks/inventory of needed materials are always ready and available
Follow all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Experience in operating forklifts and overhead cranes is considered to be a very strong asset
Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Must possess a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
