Job description
  • Complete behavioral assessments and plan treatment strategies in conjunction with team members.
  • Develop, implement and document individual client treatment plans.
  • Coordinate and monitor service delivery and assist in the development and delivery of training sessions for clients, staff, and community partners.
  • Develop and implement, in conjunction with treatment team members, evidence-based treatment plans responsive to client needs.
  • Identify and coordinate provision of service and resources for clients, in collaboration with affiliate and community partners, advocating on client’s behalf to safeguard and ensure their entitlements and rights.
  • Provide assessment and crisis intervention services.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of educational and informational programs for clients, families, service providers, employees, and the public.
  • Provide necessary activities of daily living support within the framework of the FACT model based on client need.
  • Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies, and procedures of The Royal.
  • Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free Workplace Policy.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Behavioral Science Technology is required.
  • Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in the field of developmental disabilities, mental illness, and behavioral analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a professional multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Previous experience in a Dual Diagnosis setting is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in a forensic setting is considered an asset.
  • Experience in substance use and concurrent disorders is considered an asset.
  • Experience in facilitation of group/individual counselling and experience in staff training/education is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in community mental health is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of consultation model.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • English level A- in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading, and writing is mandatory. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
