POSITION SUMMARY: The Greeter performs various Customer Service activities, including greeting all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information and direction to customers, distributing promotional materials, and other front-end tasks to support business needs. Greeters are expected to smile and be friendly and outgoing with every guest, providing an over-the-top customer service experience to ensure that customers feel welcomed and appreciated.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Greets all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
2. Actively promotes programs including but not limited to VOC and In-Store Pickup.
3. Models brand standards for customer service by presenting a professional image, adhering to dress code with a green logo shirt, name badge visible, appropriate apparel/footwear, a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.
4. Checks in all customers’ merchandise for return.
5. Checks in all Vendor representatives, completing necessary visitor log information and controlling visitor badges.
6. Remains aware of all “Special events” in the store and informs customers of details of events, sales, or promotions, providing promotional materials to support special events.
7. Ensures entryway and surrounding work area remain clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
8. Assists in the facilitation of customer check-in of all firearms/weapons by notifying the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter to complete the guest check-in per company SOP. Note: Greeters should never accept, possess, or handle a firearm while performing job duties.
9. All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

1. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
2. Experience in a customer service environment.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
5. Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Regularly walks and stands.
2. Occasionally performs computer work and lifts up to 50 pounds.
3. Seldom to never sits.
4. Constantly communicates with others to exchange information.
5. Constantly repeats motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
6. Occasionally works in low or high temperatures.
7. Occasionally works in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
8. Occasionally works in noisy environments.
9. Light work that includes constantly moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed).

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasionally requires independent judgment to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
