Salary: $18.06 per hour plus tips

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Bartender is responsible for ensuring high-quality service and contributing to creating a memorable experience for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming customers
• Navigating POS systems with ease
• Preparing cocktails, wine, draft or bottled beer, and zero-proof cocktails and beverages for servers, or serving directly to customers
• Collecting payment and recording beverage sales
• Maintaining and controlling inventory and ordering alcoholic beverages and supplies
• Cleaning countertops and washing/polishing glasses
• Checking customers' legal age to prevent serving those who are not authorized to drink alcohol
• Ensuring compliance with provincial and territorial laws and regulations regarding alcohol
• Training and supervising other bartenders and bar staff, if applicable

Required Skills:

• Experience in sales and customer service
• Professional attitude and behaviour (teamwork, autonomy, dynamic, excellent social skills, honest, versatile, strong initiative, great organizational skills)
• Bondable
• Knowledge of the city and tourist points of interest
• Knowledge of the characteristics of different cocktails and zero-proof beverages
• Smart Serve certification
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Food Handlers certification is an asset
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced work environment

Languages: English is mandatory
