Barista

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Provide consistent, high-quality customer service.
• Prepare our specialty coffee, other hot drinks and special cold drinks.
• Clean and maintain the coffee machine and equipment.
• Keep the area around the café clean and tidy.
• Working as a team and taking a leadership style role to ensure the smooth running of service.
• Greet customers and take their orders from the table
• Prepare and serve food items, such as pastries and sandwiches
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ingredients
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change
• Strong time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
