Parksville Curling Club is a curling club in the heart of Parksville with 400 active members. The club is located in the Community Park down at the beach. The address is 220 Corfield Street North, Parksville, BC.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Bar Manager at Parksville Curling Club. The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar operation, including customer service, staff management, inventory control, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.

Job Responsibilities (highlights)

• Collecting payments from customers
• Preparing beverages and snacks for customers
• Operating cash register and printing bills for customers
• Cleaning the bar and the space around it
• Keeping health, safety, and liquor licenses current and ensuring that employees comply with them
• Monitoring the inventory and ordering new supplies and ingredients when needed
• Analyzing costs and sales statistics to create a budget and decide which cocktails and menu items to promote

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience in food & beverage sales
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
• Serving It Right certification
• Manager training via Serving It Right
• Food Safety certification is preferred

Remuneration

Based on experience, hourly rate range $17.85 - $25.00
