What you will do
Working alongside other Banking and Payments Specialists (BPS) covering the domestic operations, you will provide a variety of domestic payment, securities safekeeping and collateral management services for approximately 100 clients, including the Government of Canada, domestic financial institutions, other central banks and selected international institutions. In addition, a BPS processes transactions for the final settlement of clearing, payment and settlement systems, which includes Canada’s Real Time Gross Settlement system (Lynx), the Canadian Depository for Securities (CDSX), the Automated Clearing and Settlement System (ACSS) and the Note Exchange System (NES).
As a domestic day BPS, you will:
Please note that the ability to work onsite at least 50% of the time is a requirement due to the position being part of the Bank’s Critical Operations.
Day work schedule consists of a regular shift Monday to Friday Eastern Time from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and an extended shift Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 7:00pm.

Your education and experience
The position requires a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration with at least one year of relevant experience in processing payment and securities transactions on behalf of clients, or a relevant college diploma (e.g., in accounting or administration) with a minimum of two years of experience in the same field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered. Training may be provided to help reach the required level. Both bilingual and unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
