Waste Handling Solutions Ltd was formed in 2001 by a small group, with many years of knowledge within the waste management industry. It was felt that we could bring this knowledge and the associated benefits to our clients, i.e., to save them time and money on their waste handling. To date, we have helped thousands of clients and are still growing weekly with new clients, now offering a “Total Waste Handling Solution” to save them time and money.
Job Role/Responsibilities:
Field Service Engineers are responsible for servicing and maintaining all types of recycling equipment, either on client’s premises or for machinery within workshops in Warmley, Bristol. The job is factory based 75% of the time and 25% of the time on client’s sites (Company van will be provided + Fuel). Job includes disassembling and overhauling machinery to an as-new standard (we have in-house shot blasting, fabrication, and spraying facilities).
Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications Required:
Applicants need to have a strong bias for fault finding, including PLC interrogation and electrical circuit fault finding. The ability to read and understand both electrical and hydraulic drawings and have a sound knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles is essential. Ideally, candidates should be apprenticed, ONC qualified, or have other relevant qualifications considered, including experience within the industry. Ideally, the applicant will have electrical qualifications to work with 3 phase and, if possible, be 18th Edition certified (although training can be provided).
Salary Expectations:
The exact salary and package will depend on experience and potential training needs and will be discussed at the interview stage. Circa £36,000 Basic to £45,000 Per Year (dependent on experience) + Pension, plus Annual Profit Share. Normal hours of work – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm – Monday to Friday.
