Bakery sales specialist

Our client is a supplier of food equipment used in commercial bakeries and is looking for a bilingual experienced baker with commercial and sales experience. You will be based in the Montreal area and will work with the sales team on sales opportunities. Your role will be to assist both clients and the sales team to develop opportunities, get involved in tweaking the client needs and be present during installation. This position requires 50% overnight travel.

Territory: East of Toronto, Province of Quebec and the Maritimes

Workplace: Home office (Montreal based)

Products / Services: Commercial bakery equipment

Salary: Base $85,000-$90,000

Commissions / Bonus: Bonus of $10k-15k annually

Car allowance: $800 / month + $0.24 / km

Expense's reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

Other Benefits: All benefits paid by company which include health, dental and profit sharing

Functions:

1. Travel to clients with territory salespeople
2. Make recommendations of our products
3. Assist clients with the tweaking of equipment or recipes to achieve their goals
4. Help assess customer needs
5. Perform demos
6. Coordinate installations with bakery technicians
7. Work with sales team to generate leads

Requirements:

1. Development vs Maintenance: 20% vs 80%
2. Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
3. Languages: French and English (bilingual)
4. Education: Post secondary school needed
5. Training: On the job training
6. Overnight Travel: 50% overnight travel
7. Years of experience: At least 3-5 years of commercial bakery experience or experience with baking ingredients and / or bakery equipment

Transferable Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of commercial bakery products or methodology
2. Previous sales experience is an asset
3. Knowledge of high production bakeries
