Bakery Operator - Night Shift 1015pm to 615am

Major Responsibilities:

• Carries out duties according to procedures and work instructions covering the tasks relating to the position's function as outlined in the department's quality manual in accordance with Griffith Quality System requirements.
• Participates in ensuring a safe working environment and safe working practices.
• Ensures that G.M.P. and HACCP standards are met both personally and departmentally.
• Sets up bakery line for startup of run.
• Continually monitors process, adjusts as required, and communicates to team members of changes made.
• Assembles pallet trays and palletizes bags on skids. Moves materials and skids with forklift truck.
• Assists in the assembly and disassembly of equipment. Reports faulty equipment to Team Leader.
• Assists in set up and takeoff of finished product in either IBCs or bags as per manufacturing instructions.
• Checks weights of bags and keeps record of it as per work instruction.
• Performs QA checks and maintains records. Consults with Team Leader for product approval.
• Makes sure all magnets and finished product bacteriology samples are taken as required.
• Joins with all Team members in product changeovers and line clean-ups.
• Maintains line in a clean, tidy, and inspection-ready state at all times.
• Operates lift trucks and checks truck(s) for safe operation conditions and maintains truck in a clean condition.
• Reworks off-standard product as quickly as possible.
• Fills out all raw material usage and requisition documentation accurately and speedily.
• Responsible for issuing of consumed raw materials.

What Will You Bring:

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of basic mathematical foundations required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Physical requirements: requires lifting of up to 25 kg on a regular basis.

This is a safety-sensitive position and it requires the use of an N9 NIOSH-approved fitted respirator (N95 or an approved alternative).
