Major Responsibilities:
- Carries out duties according to procedures and work instructions, covering the tasks relating to the position's function as outlined in the department's quality manual, in accordance with Griffith Quality System requirements.
- Participates in ensuring a safe working environment and safe working practices.
- Ensures that G.M.P. and HACCP standards are met, both personally and departmentally.
- Sets up bakery line for start-up of run.
- Continually monitors process, adjusts as required, and communicates to team members of changes made.
- Assembles pallet trays and palletizes bags on skids. Moves materials and skids with forklift truck.
- Assists in assembly and disassembly of equipment. Reports faulty equipment to Team Leader.
- Assists in set up and take-off of finished product in either IBC’s bags, as per manufacturing instructions.
- Checks weighs bags and keeps record of it, as per work instruction.
- Performs QA checks and maintains records. Consults with Team Leader for product approval.
- Makes sure all magnets and finished product Bacteriology samples are taken as required.
- Joins with all Team members in product changeovers and line clean ups.
- Maintains line in a clean and tidy, and “Inspection Ready” state at all times.
- Operates lift trucks and checks truck(s) for safe operation conditions and maintains truck in a clean condition.
- Reworks off-standard product as quickly as possible.
- Fills out all Raw Material usage and requisition documentation accurately and speedily.
- Responsible for issuing of consumed raw materials.

What Will You Bring?
- High school diploma - Required.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical foundations - Required.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Physical requirements: requires lifting of up to 25 kg on a regular basis.
This is a safety sensitive position, and it requires the use of an N9 NIOSH-approved fitted respirator (“N95”) or an approved alternative. Successful candidates will be required to go through appropriate fit-testing and will be required to wear an N95 while performing their duties.
