Bakery Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our bakery operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a desire to learn more about the food industry while contributing to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas.
3. Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
4. Package finished products for display and sale, ensuring they are visually appealing.
5. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have.
6. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.

Skills

1. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
2. Experience or knowledge in the food industry, particularly in baking or food preparation.
3. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
4. Basic skills in cake decorating or a willingness to learn new techniques.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
6. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour
