Back-end Developer

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a talented and driven Back-end Developer to help build and scale the platform’s back-end infrastructure.

Your Role

As a Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the back-end architecture of the BackrZone platform. You will work with other developers to build scalable and efficient systems, ensuring our platform is reliable, secure, and can handle high volumes of transactions. Your role will involve working on server-side logic, APIs, databases, and ensuring smooth integration with blockchain technologies. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in back-end development and a passion for working on blockchain projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Server-Side Development: Design, build, and maintain the back-end infrastructure for the BackrZone platform.
• Database Management: Develop and optimize database systems (SQL and NoSQL), ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
• API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs that integrate with third-party services, payment processors, and blockchain platforms.
• Blockchain Integration: Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate blockchain-based payment systems and smart contracts into the platform.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and improve performance for the platform, focusing on scaling and speed.
• Security: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect user data, transactions, and platform integrity, including encryption and authentication.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Resolve bugs, troubleshoot server issues, and maintain the platform’s overall health.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build features and enhancements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for all back-end code, systems, and processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:

3+ years of experience in back-end development with a focus on web and application development.
Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Java.
Solid understanding of database management with experience in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with blockchain technologies, especially in integrating cryptocurrency payments and smart contracts.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of security best practices, including secure coding techniques, data encryption, and authentication methods.
Proficient in version control using Git and experience with Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice-to-Have:

Experience working with blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana).
Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless systems.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins or CircleCI.
Understanding of front-end technologies (React, Angular) to facilitate better communication and collaboration with front-end developers.
Fluency in French or other languages is a plus.
