Azure/Power Platform Architect

Our MONTREAL based client is looking for a senior Azure, Power Platform Developer for a multi year HYBRID contract. TheAzure and Power Platform Developer/Architect will be required to work on building Azure infrastructure and Power Platform automation framework for a global financial organization. This role requires a strong combination of developer and infrastructure knowledge and experience. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate technical leadership with a track record of developing and driving innovative solutions for public cloud.

Primary responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the automation framework for Power Platform and Dynamics365
• Enhance and contribute to Azure and Power Platform architecture
• Develop tooling and self-service capabilities
• Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience
• Contribute to major design decisions and product selection for the Azure infrastructure and Power Platform framework

Mandatory Experience:

• Experience with Azure and Power Platform cloud architecture design and application integration/refactoring to work with public cloud
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Strong development / programming skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and using test driven frameworks
• Experience with implementing and testing Azure Policy
• Experience designing Power Platform architecture
• Experience designing Azure architecture
• Experience with Azure SaaS/PaaS services
• Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
• Strong communication and written skills
• Experience creating technical architecture documentation

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of security controls and/or security tooling for the Public cloud
• Experience with contributing to open source tooling
• Experience with alternate cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP)
• Experience in large regulated industry
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Appreciation and experience of security, legal and regulatory/compliance controls required to move data into a cloud service, preferably from the finance sector
• Experience working with regulatory, compliance and/or litigation group within the Financial Industry
• Large Scale Migration Tooling/Automation/Process experience
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to think strategically
