You are a builder, influencer, and change agent

In this exciting role, you will be improving Sobeys automation, CI/CD workflow orchestration maturity, capabilities, and practices. This includes supporting the DevOps CoE’s ownership of secure CI/CD, DevOps and automation practices as implemented within Azure DevOps all while ensuring documentation is up to date and correct before solution or changes are implemented into production.

You can develop Bicep and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform scripts to support provisioning and deployment. In addition, you can work cross-functionally within the Centres of Excellence teams, and the Cyber Security and Product Delivery support teams to establish, define, improve, and implement secure SDLC standards and practices around advanced automation, continuous integration, and secure software delivery.

What you bring to the table:

• Good communication skills to ensure management is informed of progress, status and issues of delivery team activities.
• Team player to work alongside management in the adoption of tools and technology, methodologies and innovations to achieve improvements in the delivery and security of solution development / system support.
• Critical thinking skills to provide accurate estimates from analysis and design specifications.

What you have to offer:

• Experience managing projects and CI/CD build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Experience and understanding of cloud architecture and services specifically in Microsoft Azure.
• Related university degree or equivalent work experience
• Azure Certifications (e.g. AZ-400 Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) would be a significant asset
• Knowledge of and experience with:
• CI/CD build and deployment technologies.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
• Configuration and version management disciplines and Git.
• Multi-Stage YAML pipeline deployments
• Scripting (PowerShell, bash, Python, Perl, Ansible, Azure CLI).
• Bicep, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and Terraform templates.
• Working experience and knowledge in:
• Working as part of a team, using an agile or lean methodology, to continuously deliver secure and working software.
• Developing guidelines and practices for other developers to integrate and deploy their software.
• Foundational Azure, Google Cloud Platform knowledge
• Database technologies.
• Containers and Container Orchestration (e.g. RedHat OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Orchestration and Automation Platform products (e.g. Airflow, Jenkins).
• Considered an asset:
• Experience or certifications with Secure SDLC practices
• Multiple application security technologies and their integration into Azure DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
• Security scanning and compliance; DAST and SAST tools, techniques and technologies.
• Threat modelling and security design review methodologies.
• Experience with other public clouds e.g. Google Cloud Platform, SAP BTP Cloud Platform/Foundry
