The NewRich Network is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to assist us with the development of our MVP - including our in-house CRM and Billing Systems.
Responsibilities
- Set up Kubernetes platform, deploy microservices and other web applications, and manage secure secrets.
- Utilize Docker, including setting up and managing Docker registries as well as creating Dockerfiles to create custom images.
- Implement container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Manage overlay networking needed for inter-container communications from different nodes.
- Build CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate systems deployments and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or Saltstack.
- Work with source control systems like Git.
- Collaborate effectively with people from various disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Demonstrate a clear, energetic interest in automating everything (build, test, release/deploy, monitoring, reporting), including "Infrastructure as Code".
- Build, deploy, and host a demo web app to prove general IT/DevOps proficiency.
- Work in a DevOps, SysOps, SRE, or similar role for at least 2 years.
- Utilize AWS services, including CloudTrail, AWS Organizations, EC2, ECS, EKS, Elasticache, IAM, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, Route53, and S3.
- Control Cloud costs effectively.
- Provision and automate infrastructure using Terraform.
- Possess strong working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Work remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as PHP, Javascript, or Python is a plus.
- Understand incident management processes and service level objectives (SLOs).
- Perform root cause analysis in AWS environments and debug microservices using Cloudwatch or related monitoring products.
- Participate in the On-Call rotation.
- This position will be part-time/hourly to start, with the option to go full-time after 3 months.
