Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. The Automotive Technician will work with both hand tools and power tools, and may also be required to perform heavy lifting as part of their daily tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
2. Assemble components and systems according to specifications.
3. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
4. Perform routine maintenance checks and services on vehicles.
5. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs needed and provide excellent customer service.
6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
7. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
8. Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
9. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Experience

1. Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is preferred, especially in a dealership setting.
2. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
3. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
4. Experience with heavy lifting is beneficial for handling various vehicle components.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
6. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the automotive field is highly valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour

Additional pay: Overtime pay
