Overview
They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair. This role requires hands-on experience with various automotive systems and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues and execute repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary during repair processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle's needs and repair status.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required when handling parts or components during repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for automotive repair.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in welding is a plus for specific repair tasks.
- Previous experience working in a dealership environment is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required in the workshop setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of repair work.
