Our client in Mississauga, ON, a leader in providing top-notch packaging solutions, is looking for a Service Technician to support our state-of-the-art printing systems.

As a Service Technician, you'll ensure that our equipment runs smoothly, helping to minimize downtime and keep production on track.

  2. $35-$40 hour (depending on skills + experience)

Responsibilities

  1. Troubleshooting Skills: Diagnose and resolve issues with inkjet printers, including mechanical problems, ink flow issues, nozzle blockages, and software-related challenges.
  2. Mechanical Aptitude: Work with the mechanical components of inkjet printers, such as print heads, ink delivery systems, conveyor systems, and other related equipment to ensure proper function and efficiency.
  3. Electrical Skills: Utilize a basic understanding of electrical systems and components (wiring, sensors, control panels, and circuitry) to identify and resolve electrical issues that may arise within the equipment.
  4. Computer Literacy: Operate computer software and interfaces related to inkjet coding systems, including printer control software, coding software, and production line management systems, to ensure seamless integration and operation.
  5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to maintain and improve the performance of inkjet coding systems.

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of hands-on experience working with inkjet printers or similar industrial equipment.
  2. Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities, with practical knowledge of inkjet coding systems and related equipment.
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematic drawings for setup, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
  4. Demonstrates a strong sense of personal accountability in meeting deadlines and ensuring quality results.
  5. Valid Ontario driver's license required for travel to customer sites or service locations as needed.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and management, ensuring clear understanding of technical issues and solutions.
