Responsible for all automation related activities of the product.
Responsible for the Maintenance and Repair of production automated machines.
Continuously enhance quality and productivity through automated processes.
Identify and initiate actions to prevent occurrence and recurrence of product, process, quality systems, and nonconformities.
Work on automation concepts based on customer product and process design requirements and get quotes from suppliers accordingly.
Liaise with both customers and suppliers to finalize automation design concepts and draft User Specification Requirements (URS) accordingly.
Work closely with vendors to get automation qualified in time for Factory and Site Acceptance Test (FAT/SAT) based on URS and prepare technical reports to buy off the automation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Optimize automation parameters and meet specific cycle times for existing and new products.
Provide timely support to ensure efficiency of production machines and equipment.
Work with respective departments on product quality issues.
Initiate containment plans and implement effective long-term plans on quality-related issues.
Attend to all daily quality and process-related issues.
Execute process validation for new and existing products with tooling and quality personnel.
Participate in the Continuous Process Improvement programme to improve productivity and reduce scrap.
Perform internal quality system audits.
Train and assess production staff on processes and products where applicable.
Attend routine production and quality meetings.
Execute engineering change notices from customers.
Analyze quality data collected periodically and provide recommendations to management for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and in-house system requirements, especially for medical and automotive customers.
Perform additional tasks as given by management.
Track MTTF/MTBF and OEE of the equipment and prepare continuous improvement programs; also track and improve MTTR.
Good to have knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ for medical automation qualification.
Qualifications / Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Engineering-related discipline, preferably Mechatronics.
At least 3 years of experience/knowledge in Factory Automation.
Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485, TS16949, and familiarity with FMEA.
Results-oriented, meticulous, and a self-motivated team player.
