Job description

Agfa HealthCare, a division of the Agfa-Gevaert Group headquartered in Mortsel, Belgium, is seeking to hire Automation Test Developers who enjoy collaborating with talented and energetic team members. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of automated tests that will aid in developing an objective assessment of the quality of the product(s) under load. This may also require the development of test tools for further performance and load testing.

As an Automation Test Developer, you will perform a variety of simple, moderate, and complex tasks related to software test automation (both code development and scripting). A high degree of creativity is required. You will work as part of a scrum team with other developers, testers, Product Development representatives, and system architects. The successful candidate will also develop scripts or utilities to increase test efficiency where appropriate.

Some additional points:

  • This position presents an opportunity to design, develop, and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts.
  • Tasks may present a combination of manual and automated testing, assisting in familiarization with the product.
  • Following agile methodology, automated test developers are integrated within scrum teams and collaborate closely with other team members in building the product and its features.
  • In alignment with an agile model, scrum team activities are planned and conducted in small incremental cycles to allow efficiency and efficacy.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent technical knowledge acquired through professional experience and specialized training (including certificates) in a specific field.

Specific skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in automation testing.
  • Desired experience in performance and load testing.
  • Expertise in operating systems at the admin level (Linux, Windows).
  • Working knowledge of databases (Oracle) and data storage.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly absorb new concepts and technologies.
  • Good verbal and written communication and knowledge transfer skills.
  • Team player with the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Confidence in an agile work environment.
  • Understanding of the complexity of working in a medical environment and willingness to embrace regulatory responsibilities.
  • Solid commitment to quality software development.
  • Knowledge/experience with any of the following technologies is highly desirable: Kubernetes, Helm, Elastic, Terraform, and Microservices.
