Job description

We’re looking for a team-oriented, community-minded, and highly motivated individual to come on board as our Audit Analyst supporting three credit unions (Conexus, Cornerstone, and Innovation). The audit analyst will work with senior audit staff conducting assurance and advisory engagements. The audits encompass all areas of credit union operations and follow the 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards.

This position can be located in any of the three Credit Unions (Conexus, Cornerstone, and Innovation); however, travel throughout the geographical area may be required.

How you’ll be spending your time

  1. Providing audit results and assisting in the development of reports to the appropriate audit lead.
  2. Identifying and assessing risks and opportunities within the credit unions’ and the members’ risk appetite.
  3. Identifying and assessing compliance with Credit Union Regulations.
  4. Leveraging technology and partners to provide exceptional member experience.
  5. Conducting compliance and risk-based audits with respect to all areas of credit union operations in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards.
  6. Ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets for assigned audits and projects.
  7. Leveraging data and working with a data analyst throughout the audit process to create efficiencies, improve coverage, and identify high-severity risks.
  8. Identifying and advising on risks and opportunities within the credit unions’ risk appetite.

The experience you bring

  1. Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Risk or Business) compatible with the type of audits that this position supports.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of Financial Service experience.
  3. Proven skills and knowledge of Microsoft suite and analytics/research.
  4. Experience within Lending and/or Credit Union Compliance would be considered an asset.
