Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Conduct musculoskeletal injury assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, dietitians, and kinesiologists, to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Perform and interpret fitness assessments as required.
- Educate patients on injury prevention strategies and movement optimization.
- Participate in patient engagement initiatives such as newsletters, social media, and special projects.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace that adheres to healthcare standards.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, or a related field is required.
- Certification as a Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) from the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in modalities such as shockwave therapy or laser therapy are considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Clean criminal record check.
- Must be a registered member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) and in good standing.
- Professional Liability Insurance is required.
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in athletic therapy is required.
- Experience using modalities such as shockwave therapy and laser therapy.
- Previous involvement in patient education or community engagement initiatives.
- Knowledge of injury prevention, return-to-play protocols, and functional movement assessments.
- Hands-on experience working in a clinical setting with a variety of patient populations.
Skills:
- Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient engagement.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in fitness assessments and movement screening techniques.
Base Salary: $65,000-70,000 per year

Work Hours:
- 40 hours per week
