What it’s like to be a Northbridge Associate Underwriter

Northbridge Insurance Associate Underwriters customize solutions for our commercial clients when they need insurance products to cover our small business department. They work closely with our extensive broker network to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk.

Our Associate Underwriters are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and in-person broker meetings are regularly penned into their calendars. Working in a collaborative team, there is the opportunity for coaching, mentoring, and development from our more experienced underwriters to help grow your appetite for risks.

We want your talent

If you are great at:

• Commercial underwriting
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Customer service and relationship-building

If you have:

• 2+ years of Underwriting experience
• Post-secondary school education and/or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Experience in the property and casualty industry is an asset
• Working knowledge of underwriting manuals, policy contracts, rating programs, risk information sources, underwriting/technical manual information, statutory constraints, and computer workflow procedures
