About the Associate Technical Architect
The Associate Technical Architect will be the technical liaison for an account and be responsible for leading project implementations, executing on the technical vision laid out for the project, and is relied upon for many of the concrete technical aspects of projects. The Associate Technical Architect will likely be focused on a few smaller projects and accounts at once, and coding between 50-80% of the time, sometimes paired with an additional developer. They may participate in requirements gathering activities, uncovering key technical aspects of the strategy, and ensuring technical feasibility of designs.
The overarching responsibilities of the Associate Technical Architect on a project are to collaborate with the Technical Director and Senior Architects for his/her delivery team to consult on the vision and architecture for a project, and then lead the implementation. Additionally, he/she should have experience implementing various integrations, documenting technical requirements, estimating ballpark/high level requirements, understanding security and performance requirements, and juggling priorities. Acceptance that budget and timeline management is a shared responsibility with other project leaders is a must.
As a subject matter expert in Sitecore, the architect will provide direction for best practices within the platform around content architecture, solution architecture, code organization, best use of pipelines and configuration file customizations, use of TDS, context vs datasource, search methodologies, language strategies, and performance best practices.
