Job Description

Position Summary:

The Associate Shopper and e-Commerce Marketing Manager is a hybrid role. They will manage specific assigned key customers and be accountable for Digital and e-Commerce tools and content management, development, and execution of customer-specific shopper and e-Commerce marketing programs (which include budgeting) that achieve brand business objectives. Responsible for all aspects of the shopper marketing program life cycle including gaining cross-functional alignment and managing agency resources and program budgeting. Develops a comprehensive understanding of strategies in relation to their assigned retailers to ensure shopper marketing and e-Commerce solutions are aligned to both organizations. They will be responsible for translating cross-customer shopper insights and category knowledge to identify & address customer opportunities into the broader Brand Building/Brand Development processes.

This role works with the Commerce team on everyday management of the business, including supporting the team with day-to-day tasks and processes such as e-Commerce management, retailer program executions, national program executions, budgeting, and communications. Additionally, this role will own and be seen as the key contact for digital and e-Commerce tools and content management.

Job Responsibilities:

40% Program Execution and Customer Relationship Management

  • Develops all components of Shopper Marketing and e-commerce programs including program objectives, budgeting, creative brief, agency briefing, program plan alignment, in-market execution, and post-analysis.
  • Works closely with internal teams such as perfect store and commercial strategy to bring programs to life in store.
  • Leads management of agency partner resources to develop and execute shopper marketing and e-commerce programs.
  • Leads sell-in and negotiations for Shopper Marketing and e-commerce programs with the Marketing, third-party agency, and Perfect Store teams of assigned customer in partnership with their respective Customer Team.
  • Works closely with brand and legal teams on all program aspects including contracts, creatives, and product alignment.
  • Develops and manages relationships with customer’s marketing and dedicated agencies to facilitate flawless program execution and build the company’s reputation.
  • Consults as the Shopper Marketing and e-commerce knowledge expert for assigned customers, sharing tactic recommendations and best practices for Brand National campaigns.
  • Integrates programming and recommendations into both short- and long-term customer joint business planning.

30% Planning and Financial Management

  • Supports the Shopper Marketing and e-commerce planning process by utilizing objectives, strategies, and available insights/data to build annual shopper and e-commerce marketing plans for assigned customers.
  • Responsible for e-commerce budgets as well as shopper program budgets.
  • Collaborates with Brand, Sales, Supply, and Finance teams to ensure Shopper and e-commerce Marketing programs are aligned to strategy and business objectives related to net sales, gross margin.
  • Leverages shopper insights and collaborates with Customer Insights to ensure programs are insight-driven.
  • Manages the budget for assigned customers including all allocations through Brand P&Ls and is accountable to forecast and track to plan.
  • Assists Commerce Marketing Managers with accounts payable and financial tool reporting, working closely with finance and AP on problem-solving when required.
  • Assists the Commerce Marketing Team with the processing, tracking, and closure of invoices.
  • Supports the overall marketing team with the communication and logistics of key team meetings.

30% Digital Marketing

  • Supports the deployment of Digital Commerce marketing programs with major online retailers working cross-functionally and with external contacts to implement programs.
  • Manages relationships with assigned retailers, including e-commerce account teams.
  • Assists in the media coordination of digital programs utilizing the internal media team.
  • Overall owner of eCommerce product catalog and ensuring all graphics online are up to date for all retailer sites which includes project management and agency management.
  • Executes the digital shelf for all retailers through Salsify.
  • Manages internal websites.
  • Acts as a Liaison and ensures content quality is up to date on retailer websites.
  • Works closely with Commerce Marketing Managers on retailer scorecards to ensure content is relevant and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Works with external agency on best practices with rating and reviews as they apply to retailers.
  • Executes, coordinates, and works with internal and external teams on Post Analysis reporting for all promotions.

Departmental/Corporate Tools & Process

  • Subject matter expert on key tools that enable marketing communication or commercialization process (i.e., invoicing, GS1, Salsify, internal financial tool, Nielsen).
  • Owns and updates the ECCNet/GS1 tool.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • University degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience at a marketing associate level. Experience with digital/commerce programs is a definite asset.
  • Understanding of ECCNet/GS1, Salsify, or similar commerce management systems is a definite asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task, have a keen attention to detail, and be able to prioritize.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a cooperative and demanding environment.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $61,000-$90,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to location, relevant experience/level, and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
