Lord’s Grace Church (LGC) is a non-denominational evangelical Christ-centred community that started in 1981 as an ethnic Chinese church with lay ministry. We have grown into three congregations with Cantonese, English, and Mandarin services. The Cantonese congregation of about 150-200 people emphasizes worship, prayer, discipleship training and fellowship. Duties and Responsibilities

The Associate Pastor is to work under the supervision of the Cantonese Pastor/Lead Pastor to provide leadership for the ongoing development and implementation of Student, Young Career and Family Ministry (relevant groups aged 18-45) in the Cantonese Congregation. In working with the lay leaders, the Associate Pastor will perform regular pastoral duties, with special focus on establishing a new Cantonese student ministry in the LGC.

The position is to serve the needs of the LGC Cantonese Congregation as well as the wider church, and is accountable to the Deacons Board.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• A minimum of a Master in Divinity (MDIV) in theological education
• Experience in Student, Young Career and Family Ministries
• Has the capability to preach in Cantonese and communicate in Cantonese and English. Ability in Mandarin is an asset.
• Familiar with the Hong Kong & North American Chinese culture as evidenced by life and work experience and/or education
• Possesses good communication and organization skills to work within the context of a diverse people in Lord’s Grace Church
