Compensation Range: $5,365.42 - $7,709.92 CAD Monthly
The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position.

Job Summary
With direction, plans, coordinates and implements a variety of effective and innovative online recruiting and advising services and programs for prospective international students, their parents and counsellors. Regularly gives presentations and undertakes group and one-on-one advising, in-person or via online channels.
Provides effective recruiting and advising services to international (visa) students and Canadian students schooled outside of Canada on behalf of the University, as well as international (visa) students schooled within Canadian colleges, high schools and English language training programs.
Work Performed
- Implements effective and innovative online recruiting and advising services
- Assists in developing and implementing online recruitment activities to encourage more prospective international students to apply to UBC.
- In collaboration, shapes recruitment activities and content delivery to meet needs of online participants.
- Presents to prospective international students during online information events.
- Assists in planning, organizing and conducting special online events such as Applicant Information Sessions.
- With guidance, collects and maintains data on the origin of event participants.
- Works with the CRM system to load, tag, analyze online participation and effectiveness of eRecruitment programs.
- Produces qualitative and quantitative summary reports and makes recommendations.
- Works closely with the Recruitment Marketing and Prospective Student Engagement team.
- Assists in the overall coordination of the eRecruitment portfolio.
- Performs recruiting and advising services
- Prepares and delivers effective presentations to groups large and small.
- Advises prospective international students and their families visiting the campus.
- Plans and delivers effective group advising sessions in a variety of settings.
- Provides advising services in a professional manner and consults on complex inquiries.
- Uses social media for outreach to prospective international students.
- Provides input and feedback to the marketing team on promotional materials.

Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of one to two years of related experience.
- Willingness to respect diverse perspectives.
- Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing awareness related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- A sound knowledge of University admission criteria and resources for international students.
- Ability to communicate in a second language preferred.
- Knowledge of major secondary educational systems.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in a post-secondary education setting preferred.
- A marketing or public relations background would be an asset.
- International experience preferred.
- Experience in event planning and delivering presentations.
- Experience using management information systems.
