Credit Funding Supervisor (Permanent, Full-time)
Location : Peterborough, ON
Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay : Based on experience
Position Description :
As the Credit Funding Supervisor, you will :
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of Credit Associates for all administration as it pertains to consumer and commercial lending. Ensure the provision of excellent member service, adherence to corporate policy and procedures, the validity of loan and security documentation and registration and/or maintenance of loan documents and member loan files.
- Conduct just-in-time coaching sessions with the Credit Associates to strengthen skill and competency levels.
- Assist with training Credit Associates. Ensure a consistent, thorough and complete training program is in place such that Funders are knowledgeable and well trained. This includes conducting training sessions within the department.
- Act as a first line of defense on risk management activities, completing reports and providing recommendations to management.
- Oversee the custody of collateral security, including preparation, registration and validation of security documentation as per the terms and conditions of the authorized credit and confirm that all security documentation is held and current as a part of the scheduled review process.
- Responsible for auditing and reviewing the Mortgage Renewal agreements and letters, commitment letters and amendments, payouts and lawyer instructions in a timely manner.
- Provide support to all consumer lending positions including the position of: Financial Services Representative, Lending Representative, Recovery, and Commercial Account Managers as required.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent
- Post secondary education with an emphasis in business administration would be preferred
- Three to five years of lending or loan administration experience
- Supervisory experience would be an asset
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of: Risk management policies and procedures, Consumer and Commercial Credit policies, procedures, products and services, Credit Master program
