What is the opportunity?

This role is part of the Global Equities Strategy team at RBC Capital Markets. It is responsible for building & maintaining the React-based UI/UX components within the analytics platform being developed by this team. The incumbent in this role will provide information on the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.

What will you do?

• Develop tools for risk analysis and reporting, market data visualization, and parameter marking within Equity Derivatives group
• Work directly with Traders & Quants on new functionality, from requirements gathering through implementation & delivery.
• Design innovative and performant solutions to meet the current and future needs of the business.
• Drive the retirement of legacy Excel/VBA & Python based tools.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

• Strong React/Typescript programming skills and provide mentorship to other employees
• Experience with Python
• Good communication & problem-solving skills
• Ability to work directly with Capital Markets Front Office personnel

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of Equity Derivatives
