Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI), the Associate Director, AMS/SAP is responsible for divisional AMS/SAP portfolio strategic planning and the overall management of the AMS/SAP operations and projects, in collaboration with the Executive Director. The incumbent is responsible for managing the identification of opportunities for improvement of business processes and for the development, acquisition and implementation of new systems and applications in alignment with institutional strategic business goals for AMS/SAP. These responsibilities are fulfilled in a cost-effective manner so that established deadlines are met within approved cost estimates. The incumbent will work collaboratively with other directors and managers within the EASI and the CIO Portfolio and with peer senior Information Technology Services (ITS) managers across the University community.
The Associate Director will advise the Executive Director on all matters pertaining to the technical support of AMS/SAP applications and the impact of new technology and systems.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Degree in computer science, business systems, or related discipline or an acceptable equivalent combination of academic training and professional experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Ten years progressive experience in the SAP ERP technology field, preferably in a post-secondary educational institution; experience in education using SAP ERP information technology and/or educational design with information technology is an asset; extensive knowledge of Private and Public Cloud emerging and innovative technologies; extensive experience working with diverse populations including demonstrated effective collaboration and consultation skills with various constituencies and stakeholders; proven skills in writing successful funding proposals and in managing large scale technology and business modernization and transformation projects.
SKILLS:
Excellent leadership, management, and communications skills; ability to work effectively with senior University leadership; service-oriented approach with focus on end-user; and ability to understand and work with a multi-faceted user community. Ability to motivate, coach and lead in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
OTHER:
