Job Description:

The Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA) department aims to inspire and connect our customers, communities and colleagues through communications, conversations and advocacy that enrich lives, deliver business outcomes and enhance our brand. We deliver best-in-class external and internal communications to help differentiate TD in the market and elevate our brand.

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled communicator and events coordinator to support planning and execution of corporate projects that contribute to the goals and objectives of the Bank. The successful candidate will play a central role in a variety of enterprise events while also partnering to support the CEO's communication strategy for leaders and all colleagues. The position supports high-impact events as assigned such as SMG, annual meeting of shareholders, virtual, hybrid and in-person leadership forums. The ideal candidate will effectively manage relationships with vendors and stakeholders across the Enterprise, while ensuring seamless delivery of key events and communications.

The successful candidate will:
  1. Support the planning and execution of high caliber TD events and initiatives at the enterprise level, with a focus on creating forums for creative, inspiring, and strategic colleague engagement.
  2. Leverage their experience with in-person, virtual and hybrid event planning and execution to oversee end-to-end event details, deliver creative solutions and bring new ideas and best practices in event management to life.
  3. Work closely with vendors, business partners, colleagues and other stakeholders to execute engaging and informative events that are well-integrated into communications strategies that support business objectives and the overall colleague experience.
  4. Assist in the management of budgets, vendor relationships and project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, resources are used effectively, and logistics meet the Bank's requirements.

Desired qualifications and skills:
  1. 3-5 years of experience in a corporate communications or consulting environment, or comparable communications or event management experience.
  2. Proven experience delivering a variety of different events of all sizes which deliver impact.
  3. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with business leaders, partners, agencies, and vendors to deliver compelling and high-quality outcomes.
  4. Excellent judgment and proven experience providing communications advice and counsel to senior leaders.
  5. Experience with technology platforms and digital event management tools and capabilities.
  6. Proven ability to navigate in a complex or ambiguous environment while managing multiple high-priority projects or deliverables.
  7. Strong writing skills and ability to distill the Bank's strategic priorities into a clear, crisp narrative that colleagues and other stakeholders can understand.
  8. Familiarity with accessibility, legal and compliance requirements associated with various corporate events.
  9. Post-secondary education, preferably a university degree.
