We are currently looking for a Associate, Corporate Development to join our team.
What you can expect in this role:
The Associate, Corporate Development is central to the function that drives growth objectives for the Company, both organic and external. The incumbent is responsible for analysis leading to decisions which help to grow and restructure the business, establishing strategic partnerships, sourcing and executing upon external and internal growth, as well as other prospective opportunities. This role focuses on analysis, research and reporting of innovative technologies which support growth.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:
- Run competitive market intelligence analysis to evaluate growth opportunities globally
- Drive the development of financial models to support prospective/potential/future growth opportunities
- Build and maintain the corporate financial models and implement integration plans to incorporate acquisitions to our existing operations
- Benchmark best practices and technologies that could support growth initiatives; to include conference participation, reading journals and industry reports, etc.
- Develop executive dashboards, reporting on peer companies’ operational and financial news by reviewing press releases, websites, social media pages, etc.
- Sourcing relevant up to date market information (such as press releases, crypto world news) for the purpose of ensuring internal is kept well-advised of latest trends. Maintain industry library, available for pertinent stakeholders.
- Update and optimize internal Crypto Investment Universe Database Dashboard and profile comparison companies and/or competitors.
- Maintain and improve reporting backend (oversee the maintenance and improvement) (data structure, APIs / Plugins, data base updating) and frontend (charts and tables, insights, sections).
Here's the profile we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Law, plus MBA (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in transactional mergers and acquisitions, due diligence advisory, investment banking or corporate law.
- Strong ability to manage ambiguity and guide the organization’s key decision makers towards clear and decisive action plans.
- Project management; managing multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an ability to translate complex data and concepts into formats that are easy to understand for broad audiences.
- Bilingual (verbal and written proficiency) – French/English. Due to the nature of the role, and requirement to prepare and deliver presentations and documents to a globally distributed management team, Board of Directors, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, English is required at least 90% of the time. Knowledge of Spanish also considered an asset.
Nice to have:
- Professional / personal experience with crypto is a plus.
- Experience in financial advisory, private equity, investment bank preferred.
