Associate Account Executive, Construction

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

The salary range for this position is CAD $60,000 - $85,000. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.

What the day will look like

Each day is unique in this role. The daily work may look like any combination of tasks such as:

  • Under the direction of the Account Executive, servicing existing clients' portfolios within the risk management group.
  • Working on a wide variety of clients, identifying specific client risk exposures, as may be required.
  • Managing the client renewal process by collaborating with all members of the client service team to ensure coverage is secured and client deliverables are met.
  • Receiving and processing client requests and reviewing documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, or cancellations.
  • Preparing client service summaries, program reports and managing client accounts receivables.
  • Assisting with establishing account-specific service plans and delivery approaches which support coverage solutions.
  • Responding to inquiries from clients on policy coverages under the direction of the Account Executive as may be required.
  • Assisting clients with interpretation of insurance clauses within contracts/agreements.
  • Exploring with the client opportunities for expanded Aon products or services.
  • May be required to work with two or more Account Executives.
  • Assisting Account Executive in new business initiatives through tasks such as coordinating dissemination of marketing material, prompting regular contact with prospects, assisting in developing new business strategies and account penetration.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Our ideal candidate brings 5 years of commercial risk experience, but it does not have to be construction-related. They have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Level I license is required; Level II license preferred or working towards.
  • Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks under ambitious timelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must have strong digital literacy and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, including both self-directed learning and in-role training.
