Position Overview:

Reporting into the Head of Technology and Enterprise Security, the Assistant Vice President, Technology Solutions – Client Service Delivery (CSD) is a critical role responsible for end to end technical architecture, aligning priorities with enterprise-wide standards for business and IT architecture within CSD. This includes, but is not limited to, fund accounting, investor services, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting. This role involves strategic oversight and ensuring seamless integration of technological solutions within the organization to support business goals. They will act as the primary point of contact between the business units within CSD and technology teams, aligning both technology strategy and business objectives. This role requires a results-focused tech leader with a solid understanding of the financial services industry and a proven track record of success in delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Align internal and external stakeholders on the architectural and infrastructure aspects of the various platform strategies and delivery roadmap.
  • Translate business strategy into technology strategy and ensure they align with platform requirements with use cases.
  • Develop, track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business-technology alignment.
  • Lead the delivery of technology solutions, overseeing coordination across various platforms.
  • Serve as the liaison between technology teams and the business units within CSD, facilitating communication and ensuring technology projects meet business needs.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards while establishing and defining the standards for the platform.
  • Facilitate technology decisions related to solutions, architecture, and evaluate potential options and risks.
  • Own architecture specific policies, roles and responsibilities within the various platforms.
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and security of technology systems within CSD.
  • Collaborate with project managers, internal stakeholders, external partners and technical teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects and initiatives. Monitor project progress, address risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Drive the technology vision, direction and architecture for CSD.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with third-party technology partners, fostering collaboration to drive enhanced service delivery and product innovation.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g. AI/ML, cloud computing, Fintech) and their potential application to improve operational efficiency and client service.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, business analysts and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure all technology systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Negotiate and execute mutually beneficial partnership agreements with external vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • University degree in a technology related discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in technology innovation or enterprise architecture, preferably within the financial services industry

Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Technology delivery experience required, with agile delivery experience preferred.
  • Large technology project/program delivery & stakeholder management experience required.
  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including business and technology executives, clients, employees, and technology industry experts.
  • Ability to establish a culture of change, through consensus and engagement, and motivate others to think differently.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strategic mindset to envision the future and translate into actionable plans.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing partnerships with third-party technology providers.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their application within Financial services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and measure outcomes to the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • On-call after hours availability.
