Job Description: Assistant Store Manager
Full-time – Permanent
Location: London, Ontario
Start date: To be confirmed
The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in the operational and commercial management of the branch, as well as in the management of staff and in the organisation of the sales area. He/she communicates the company's vision to department managers and team members to achieve the best possible results, while ensuring compliance with the quality standards set by the company.
Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Manager by controlling the schedules and budgets of the departments; Ensure the responsibilities of the Store Manager during his/her absence.
- Be present on the floor to welcome and guide customers by supervising the quality of service and products.
- Ensure that all department managers respect the budget, cost and objectives assigned by the store management.
- Convene meetings with employees to discuss new procedures and changes.
- Ensure that all departments comply with the standard of operations.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and policies as well as the banner image.
- Ensure compliance with government food hygiene and occupational health and safety laws.
- Inventory Control with collaboration with the Store Manager, assisting with the management of purchasing, inventories, price lists, merchandising and salary productivity according to established standards. Ensure that your team manages loss prevention (waste, theft, inventory loss, breakage, etc.).
- Define objectives and communicate expectations to your work team while providing feedback necessary for continuous improvement and coaching them to produce the set results.
- Touring the store inside and out, including hidden areas (warehouse, reception, compressor room, cold rooms, etc.).
- Train and coach department managers.
- Other related duties related to the job.
Eligibility criteria
- High School Diploma
- Job-related vocational training is an asset
- 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- Experience in team management
- Good knowledge of the products sold at Adonis
