The Headlines:

In the role of Assistant Shopper Marketing Manager working in Toronto, ON you will be a part of the Shopper Marketing Team. You will be accountable for leading the development, communication, and evaluation of through the line solutions for shoppers of your designated brand portfolio, in the on premise and retail channels that put our strong portfolio of brands at the forefront. These solutions must be rooted in brand, shopper, and channel insights and must influence shopping behaviour and deliver value and sales for our customers and our company.

This position reports to the Sr Manager Shopper Marketing and works very closely with internal and external stakeholders through the value chain to deliver solutions that drive profitable growth for our retailers and grow MCBC’s share of category and channel.

The Responsibilities:

  1. Be an expert at our shoppers needs, their occasions and their journey
  2. Know your assigned brand(s) inside out from strategy to creative guidelines
  3. Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners, you will lead the development of shopper solutions rooted in insights and brand fundamentals of your assigned brand(s) to influence purchasing behaviour
  4. You will develop strong briefs and work with external and internal agencies on the strategy, idea, creative and tactics from ideation to execution
  5. As partner to the sales organization and part of the broader Marketing Activation team, you will connect with customer teams to gather inputs and feedback throughout the program development process and to guide them on executional direction as the brand steward.
  6. You will create media assets that align to our shopper’s journey
  7. You will identify and measure KPIs, both short and long term and use those to inform future decisions

The Other Qualifications:

  1. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales or marketing
  2. 2+ years Marketing or agency experience in either brand, shopper or trade in alcohol or other CPG brands
  3. Experience pulling and synthesizing data
