Opportunity

The Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2025, subject to final budgetary approval.

In this role you will teach Finance and continue your scholarly work, demonstrating your expertise in foreign exchange, options, hedging, or portfolio management. You will hold a Ph.D., the equivalent of a Ph.D., or be nearing the completion of your doctorate from an accredited institution in a relevant area of expertise and will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program. You have experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level, with a record of scholarly work in the field. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and experience in industry, government, or not-for-profit organizations are both considered assets.

You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, and sample of scholarly work.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Department Chair to provide three (3) letters of reference sent directly from referees.

Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.
